I am Tanya Roof, a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) and CASE (Certified Association Sales Executive), Wife, Mother, Auntie, Entrepreneur, wine lover, and Founder + CEO of Meetings Together. I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to San Diego in the late 90s. I met my husband there as he was stationed at Camp Pendleton when we met. We have been married almost two decades now, and we have two adorable young boys, two dogs, and two cats.

I started in the Hospitality Industry at the Embassy Suites Phoenix North as a Hotel PBX operator in 1996, working my way up through the Hotel ranks for over a decade. I switched to the meeting planning side in 2009. It took me almost 20 years to build the courage to sit for the CMP exam, and I finally earned my certification in August of 2016. That accomplishment gave me the courage and desire to start my own company, Meetings Together. I wanted to offer a service centered around my personal mission and beliefs regarding customer service. I believe in a true partnership between Hotelier, Intermediary, and Meeting Professional. Running my own business allows me to get up each day and know that I'm living my best life and focusing on my why.

Today, I'm dedicated to helping others through their obstacles to becoming certified in a field full of opportunities. I developed a specialized Meetings Together program for event professionals to earn their certification, whether for personal pride, determination, increase salary, or career change.
